Recently, my sister and I have been hopping in the car going on road trips together and the best part about it is we have no plans upfront of where we are staying. It really helps with the adventure of not knowing in being able to explore without any timetable set.
Road trips are hands down one of the best ways to see the United States because they let you experience the country at your own pace, in all its variety.

You get to see landscapes change from state to state—rolling hills turning into deserts, towering mountains, and vast plains stretching out before you.
